i'm trying to interface my arduino mega with a photodiode (BPW41), but i was wondering how to connect it to the arduino ...

i saw on a wiki that this photodiode needs to be be reverse biased

someone knows how to get it to work ? (maybe links or a scheme would be very apriciated)

and, when i have to interact with it, what could i read ? HIGH level when he got ir beam and LOW when ir goes out ? how could i trace the data value to make something like a sensitivity regulation ?

thank you all

A good document on photo detectors is:-

Connect this with anode to ground, cathode to a 100K resistor and the other end of the resistor to +5v. Then connect the junction of the resistor and cathode to an analogue input. Read the input and the numbers will change with the incident light.
