Photoelectric switch and Arduino

Hi guys,

I just received an 10-30VDC infrared photoelectric switch NPN NO that I d'like to use with my arduino.

However I'm kinda new with this kind of electronic and I have no idea about the kind of schematic and/or hardware I should use for this kind of product.

Do you guys have any idea on what would be the components needed and/or schematic to use? I would of course have to use an external source of supply (12V) and also I've heard tha I would need to use a relay of some sort. Any advices?

Thanks in advance for your help

Small 5V -> 12V boost conveter perhaps and the output needs a 10k pull-up to 5V rail?

Where is the datasheet for this sensor?

Thanks for your answer,

Well it's coming directly from China, all the info that I have is on the seller page : http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/M18-infrared-ray-photo-switch-for-robot-2M-detection-sensor-with-reflector-panel-Retroreflective-NPN-normally/231651_1394584529.html

It's a NPN (0V) normally Open photoelectric switch

Also, why would I need a 5V to 12V boost? If I use an external 12V supply to power the sensor shouldn't that be enough?

Could this relay work? http://www.aliexpress.com/item/DC-12V-1CH-Optocoupler-Driver-High-Level-Trigger-Relay-Module-PCB-Board-Blue/32218789444.html
