Pi Pico - BOYAMICRO BY25Q32BSTIG SPI flash memory on the d1 mini

hello, I was lead to believe that the esp8266 D1 min uses the Winbond flash memory. When my D1 mini failed I took the metal shield off of it and Notice it is not a SPI flash memory. In fact it is a BOYAMICRO BY25Q32BSTIG. I searched online and notice People comparing it to the Winbond W25Q32. Some people are saying that It might be a repalcement for it and can be program using the same libraires as the winbond.

My question is does anyone know if this BOYAMICRO BY25Q32BSTIG Flash memory can be programmed using the Winbond library or has tested it already besides being on the D1 mini?

Joseph

Hi Joseph
I wonder - if your whole question is about esp8266 - why does the title start with "Pi Pico" ?

No my esp8266 D1 mini is dead. I'm wondering If I can use the flash chip from it to connect to the pi pico and use it. The problem I run into is No library for it. The only thing close I can find people talking about it might be or can use the Winbond W25Q32 library. I wasn't sure that is why I came here for some advice.
