Picking parts

Can anyone recommend a motor with the following specifications please:

  • Is $15 or less
  • Can be used to make a robot follow a line
  • Turns the complete axle (2 wheels)
  • Can use a lot of power to help win tug-o-war

I only say under $15 because i am thinking about making the robot 4-wheel drive. If one engine would be better and has just enough power as the two or close, than i would be able to spend more on it. Thank you

Specification is too broad.

More info needed.

How will you steer a robot with one motor?

I only say under $15 because i am thinking about making the robot 4-wheel drive.

For simple bots like you describe, continuous rotation servos are often used to drive the wheels. Do some google and youtube searches to see what is popular. Gearhead motors are available, but they will require motor drivers of some type driving up the cost.

A specification for a motor is something more like:

12V, 4A stall current, 0.005Nm torque, 6000rpm
