PID Algorithm

Hello,
I have heard of this interesting algorithm for a line follower robot. However, it is quite hard to understand. Can anyone please explain this in a simple way so that I can also try and implement it in a line follower robot? Some basic code would also greatly help.

There are many, many different explanations of the PID algorithm on the web, and nearly unlimited code examples. PID uses simple math and is not very complicated, so surely you can find one suitable for your level.
