Piezo element sound

Hello everyone

I am trying to create a digital piano as a project. The aim is when you press a button there will be a certain sound which comes from a piezo buzzer, how do i do this? Also, i want to complete this WITHOUT arduino

I have looked everywhere on youtube and google but all of their instructions require arduino :~

and how do i get an AC voltage to my breadboard without arduino?

thanks!

Could it be that you came to the wrong place? :stuck_out_tongue:

I don't think you can do that even with an Arduino, if you mean have voltage actually reversed.

But if you want some kind of pulse, you could look at an astable 555.

I'd recommend looking into the makey makey : http://www.makeymakey.com/

You can see some piano projects that use the makey makey here: http://makeymakey.com/gallery/?tag=piano

That's the easiest way to do it without an arduino that I know of.

A piezo buzzer wouldn't work off AC, you would need to use DC. What are you planning on connecting the piezo buzzer to? Can you tell us a little more about your requirements for this project?
