Hi!
I got this Piezo Minisense vibration sensor from SparkFun in the beginners kit, I wired it like I'd wire a photocell, but surprisingly I'm getting no indication that it's actually doing something.
I googled for circuits but all I found was very complex stuff on some other vibration sensors. I can't infer anything from the datasheet either, except for the fact that I may need some beefy resistors (?).
Any point in the right direction would be very appreciated, thanks!
These are electrically very much like the sensors used in the drum projects.
This is one: -Spooky Arduino Projects #4 – Musical Arduino – todbot blog the input sensor is wired just as you should wire the vibration sensor.
Thanx! the circuit wiring wasn't clear at first, but that's because I did not know how the piezo sensors actually work (couldn't figure out where the power actually comes from), but after reading the provided classes notes (which are great!) it appears that the sensor is actually creating the voltage - I know it's basic stuff for most of you guys, but was big news for me. Anywayz, after realizing that the wiring was indeed very basic
Thanx again!
