Piezoelectric not sounding Arduino Mega

Hi, I am building a drum midi module (microdrum SW) with a arduino Mega and having some problems with the piezoelectric not working. When touched with my fingers there is a light in midi software (AD2) that reacts. But if i hi them they do nothing.
I tried grounding all the unused analog pins. The piezo signal goes thru a 1M resistor and a 5.1 Zener Diode conected in paralel with ground. Any ideas?

The piezo characteristics.

Thanks

Hi,
Have you got some simple code to just test the inputs as you hit them?
Have you got a DMM?

Please post a sample code that checks the inputs, forget about midi for the moment.

Did you write the code you are using?

Thanks.. Tom... :smiley: :+1::coffee: :australia:
PS, A hand drawn circuit would have been better, then you could have drawn a MEGA.

Thanks Tom.

I finally figured it out. Everything was right. The probleme were the piezos. Which apparently work only as skpeakers. I connected a roland pad and tested every input and works prefectly.

cheers
