I am creating an EAGLE library for the 5621AH 2 digit 7 segment display for a custom PCB. I was able to find a datasheet on this display however it seems that as per the datasheet, are two possible pinouts:
I intend to source these displays from Aliexpress (link here ).
Any info regarding the pinout from anyone who has used these Aliexpress displays before would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
I would suggest getting a battery and a resistor with a little wire. Connect the battery in series with the resistor and check the pinout. My suggestion is use a different display or do your design such as you can use either pinout.
The AliExpress link doesn't have any product information. So it seems like you are gambling with that purchase.
If it's about the library footprint, get specs from a real electronics wholesaler. Then you can drive yourself crazy trying to source it from China instead.
When I recently bought 0.8" 4 digit displays like this, I bought it from a supplier that did post a diagram. When it arrived, I found it was correct.
Yeah I guess I will just try my luck with that one. I will update with the pinout once I receive it in the mail. Anyways due to space constraints I changed the 7 seg display to the 2821AS instead which has a much clearer pinout.
