That's exactly my plan. I am planning to have the laser beam colimated to 0.5mm beam width and I will be selecting high accuracy sensing LDR.
I am curious about the time of flight sensor. I had thought about it. But didn't think it will be accurate enough. How would you go about it, using the ToF sensor to measure the OD of the pipe accurately.
