I am trying to Use a SRD-12VDC-SL-C relay module connected to a 12v supply from my lighting control unit that switches my outside 240v lights on when activated by either a pir sensor or manually at the control panel.
I have connected the 12v live from the control panel to the relay module via the DC+ & DC- terminal, I have also connected the positive and negative from the pir sensor to the same terminals.
I have also connected the red switch lead from the pir to the IN terminal.
At the other end of the relay module I have the No, NC and Com terminal which of these should I connect the switching lead that goes back to the light control panel?
Please correct your schematic so that it clearly shows which pins are connected to each other on all parts, and all the missing connections are included. E.g. presently your 230V seemingly consists of a single wire to the bulb and a single wire to the relay. That obviously won't work since electricity requires a circuit.
Please post links and/or specifications of all parts involved.
This requires some form of logical OR port, which may be as simple as two diodes, but it depends on what's connected on all three terminals. Presently any information on your manual switch/button (?) is missing; is it a regular light switch? In this case, forget about the diodes.
Be careful with live 230V; it's potentially dangerous. Given what you appear to be doing (and in particular, given what you don't know yet), I'd recommend to forget about 230V for a while and play with low voltage DC until you understand the basics.
The switching lead goes to the white terminal block listed 1 to 6 of which I have 4 pir sensors connected, the red and black wires are connected to a 12v outlet.
The outdoor lights are connected from the 240v output on the bottom right. 2 of the pir sensors control zone A at the front of the house and 2 more Pir's control the back of the house.
