PIR sensor sensitivity

Hi, Does anyone knows if theres another option, like using a material, to reduce the sensitivity of the PIR sensor besides de potentiometer in the back of the sensor?

Regards.

Put black tape over part of the window.

Thank you!! I will try that and i will let you know the results.

The "sensitivity" pot of the sensor adjusts a "delay time to activate", to try to minimise false positives. It does NOT adjust range/sensitivity. Leave it in the center position.

The dome can be removed. try a piece of thin paper or something under the dome. Leo..

The PIR sensor on my outbuilding has both "sensitivity" and "time delay" pots.

As I understand it "sensitivity" is a "turn on" delay (multiple triggers are needed for the output pin to go high). And "delay" is the time is stays on (could be 3 seconds to 7 minutes). Some PIR sensors also have a jumper for "one shot" or "re-trigger". Leo..
