Hi there
I have this PL2303TA USB to Serial TTL (Almencla PL2303TA USB to Serial TTL Cable Debug Console Cable For Raspberry Pi 3 : Amazon.de: Computer & Accessories )
Can I somehow check if this use 3.3 or 5v logic (so I dont fry my things)?
Alternativly, any recommendations for a cable in Europe?
Cheerio!
Yes, measure the pin voltages with a DMM. But, I've never seen any 3.3V version of those...

Good idea. Well measuring at the cable end, with probe on ground and one-by-one rx, tx and 5v provides 3.3., 3.3, and 5v respectivly. So I can assume it is 3.3v? (If I do not attatch the 5v of course)
Weird. Maybe it's 3.3V because it's advertised as being used with RPI?

You might be right. I feel confident enough to try it as only 3.3 was measuered. Thanks for the help
