Hello. I'm brand spanking new here and have no idea what I'm doing. My intention for getting started with Arduino is to light up plastic models. How do I find my people here?

What kind of illuminating device do You think of? LEDs, no problem with most Arduinos, bulbs call for drivers.....
A good starting point so that your colleagues are on the same page, would be to define a specific project, and post that so others can help you along.
A blank cheque question is an ok opening gambit, but will die off until you specify more details, like type and number of lights, control methods, power supply etc. Do they flash, dim, operate by time of day, etc.
