Hello from France!
I don't know much about arduino exept the much reading I've done, but I never really done electronics though I do programming in PHP,JS and python.
I have here at home a set of alarme IR sensors and the base station wich I don't use anymore, when opened they have a usb connection. I figured I could try to play with it.
sensors have a IR thingy, a camera, a flash and of course a wireless module
I found a PIC18F4620 on the mainboard and on the module a CC100 TI transceiver and a 26mhz crystal oscillator.
I was wondering how hard could it be to "communicate" with that with arduino.
what I'm most intrested in is the RF part, I'd love to build and transmiter and a reeiver where I can control the signal
and also the CC1100 has many different frequencys, but the one used by the sensors should be okay to use to play arround ? or I have to use 433 ? and if so how to change the frequency is what I try to undersand ...
here is information about the sensors

thanks a lot
good day
