PLC IDE on a Mac

hi, I wonder if anyone already tried to install PLC IDE (currently only Windows os based) on a Mac using a virtual machine like parallel desktop. Is it possible ?

Hi,
Yes, it is, but only on Intel-based Macs.

I really hope, that native MacOS app is planned/in developement.

Have installed it on my Intel based Windows 10 VM, however not managed to install the tools
To poor in Windows hence any help apreciated

I was able to use it on ARM Mac, too, with a little help by a Windows laptop.

I was not able to perform the initial set up procedure (installing the boot loader) from my Mac using Parallels Desktop with Windows 11, as imagined.
I was anyway obviously able to use the Arduino IDE under MacOS for programming the PLC.

Also, I was able to perform the initial PLC ketch setup and license activation on my Intel Windows Laptop and I was later able to correctly work with Arduino PLC IDE with my Mac using Parallels Desktop and was able to correctly upload the PLC programs to the PLC and even use the live debug feature on my Mac ARM.

Been able to make it run via UTM, like every other software used in industrial automation: https://mac.getutm.app/
I've just installed it to learn it, I didn't try to upload programmes from PLC IDE on VM to microcontrollers by now.

I think it's a shame that almost no software for industrial automation runs on Mac and on Linux (expecially).
