Please, a Serial ANSI Data Terminal Emulator, like VT-100

Serial Monitor won't allow good data entry screens.

Line input is so retro, it was old in 1980. Please! Arduino should receive keys as struck. User IO gets possible to be instantly interactive. I've done it on PC's since 1980, but they had physical terminals.

I want printing formfeed to clear the screen. I want to be able to print cursor control chars to move the terminal cursor, char 7 (bell) to make a beep, 8 to destructive backspace, things like that and maybe an Esc sequence for row, col cursor positioning? It'd make formatted data entry a breeze!

This is possible with PuTTY but if it's not in the IDE, it's not going to get viewed much.
