ok well i need this solved quick i build an xbee shield from a kit put the x bee on it and was working when i tried to update the firmware it stopped working (light stopped blinking) and does not work i tried it with my other one and worked fine i really cant aford to get anopther one so plz help thank you
You are going to waste everyone's time (I thought you said you were in a hurry?) by NOT identifying everything you are using. Do you want us to just guess? If you are in such a hurry, err on the side of too MUCH data. Else we will be here all day playing 20 questions.

hahah ya i wish but the xbee shield and xbee arnt even wokin the led isnt flashing and isnt getting picked up by X-CTU pretty much the xbee is dead for some reason??

ok so i connected the xbee with the same shield and xbee like this to the arduino except i have the rx conneted to rx and same with the tx:
so ya as i was updating the firmware it just stopped
Then perhaps it's dead. You said you had two, have you tried the other?
ya i have tried the other one and it works fien with the shield but i really need to get this one working i really cant buy another one
Well, if one works, and the other doesn't (assuming they are wired the same), my bets would be on a dead unit.
is there any way to fix that

Talk with the store you purchased it from and have them issue a replacement.

Fix it your self, however (with all due respect) if you have to ask, you likely won't be able to fix it yourself.
haha, try an xbee reset... No I'm not going to tell you how to do that - LOOK IT UP YOURSELF.

The data sheet I am reading says 3.3 volts. It looks like you are feeding it 5V?
the board on the bottom has a level converter and voltage regulator
So how do I reset it
