Please do help me

Hi there. So im hoping that any of you could help me recognizing and solve the problem here.I kinda have a problem to settle it by myself,no its more to that im a beginner and i am lost of any other way to solve it and the more important thing is the due date is coming heh.
I copied this programming from
https://howtomechatronics.com/projects/arduino-touch-screen-music-player-alarm-clock-project/
but the there is one component that i change and that is BY8001 to DFPlayer so i have to change the BY8001 coding to DFPlayer .
This is the link to the DFPLayer code : DFPlayer_Mini_SKU_DFR0299-DFRobot

And this is one that i have change for a bit

You can just point out every mistake i did soo,
Please do help me.My due date is coming and im stuck here hoho
Thanks for advance :mask:

Do you have the documentation for the BY8001, so you and we know why the program was written and why you made changes?
Paul

Im sorry but i dont think i have it but BY8001 is a mini mp3 player module for arduino just like the DFPlayer.I change it since it is out of stock when i want to buy the BY8001 so i purchase the DFPlayer instead.

Ok, but how did you determine what to change in the program?
Paul

I think i just change the BY8001 part to DFPLayer code and i can say that i didnt change it at all .But for example myDFPlayer.begin(mp3Serial);is one of the code that i change .It suppposed to be mp3.setup(mp3Serial); mp3 is an instance for BY8001 class so i change it to myDFPlayer. It might be wrong actually since i just change it according to my will haha .Do you want a full original code? Its in the link above but i will paste it if you want. But the point is i want to change the BY8001 part to myDFPlayer in the original code but i dont know how to do it to be precise. So i sincerely hope you will help me.
Im sorry if im burdening you and im really grateful for your help.

Dunno why you getting the errors you show, if all you are messing with is the player.

I should say you are obvsly messing with more than just swapping out the player. Be careful, compare to the original; you've done some kind of damages.

Did you find that the two libraries are compatible? And/or change or adjust all the uses of the library that are in your code?

The one thing you mentioned seemed like you were on the right track.

Here's all the things you use in the library, you must be sure that they all exist. Or write code using the other library that amounts to the identical thing.

If you want to change the original code as little as possible

 myDFPlayer.available(...

 myDFPlayer.begin(...

 myDFPlayer.getElapsedTrackPlaybackTime(...

 myDFPlayer.getTotalTrackPlaybackTime(...

 myDFPlayer.next(...

 myDFPlayer.pause(...

 myDFPlayer.play(...

 myDFPlayer.playFolder(...

 myDFPlayer.previous(...

 myDFPlayer.read(...

 myDFPlayer.readType(...

 myDFPlayer.stop(...

 myDFPlayer.volume(...

 myDFPlayer.volumeDown(...

 myDFPlayer.volumeUp(...

After you get it working, consider changing the name of your player object. Just sayin'.

im so sorry for asking this but what should i do?im fifteen so when i read your reply it was kinda hard for me to understand im really sorry and thank you too

You’re got unbalanced braces and a misplaced else in the subroutine above. That is what what is causing the error with drawFrame().

(deleted - repeat of previous poster's comment)

thank you for your help! Its solved!

Thanks to all of you.Im really glad for your help :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
