Hello,
I want to connect my Arduino to a Sharp IR sensor - model GP2Y0A700K0F. The sensor has a 5 pin female connector on it. I have a data sheet that tells me that I only need to use 3 pins (pin 1 to ground, pin 2 to voltage, and pin 4 to analog pin). Do I need to find a 5-pin connector that will fit? I assume I would then attach only the 3 wires needed and solder the other ends to the Arduino? Or, is there an easier way?
Please help! I have been looking for help for sooooo long - please, somebody help me.....please, please!!!
This sensor is going obsolete so it won't be round for long.
However you can connect it up however you like, if it were me I would solder wires directly onto the sensor's pins. But you could get a connector if you want.
