Please help me choose correct wire for LED project

Hello everyone, newbie here

I want to build something using the WS2812B LED's. Which wire gauge should be used if you want to cut the LED's from a strip and connect them together again? Will 22 AWG suffice? I would like to use 300 LED's in total, so total power consumption is 60mAx300=18W at 5V, so I would at least need a 4A power supply.

Thanks!

What do you mean cut the LEDs from a strip?

If you want individual LEDs, just buy them as such.

I mean just like this:

LED strip (I know these are different type of LEDs)

Soldering is easier with the pads already on the strip and they also have an adhesive on the back, so that's easier than using individual leds

22 gauge should be enough

300 * 60mA = 300 * 0.06A = 18 Amp...

Power/ground should be connected to the strip at regular intervals, to keep actual strip current under about 4Amp.
Leo..

Yes, I made some typos due to too much stuff in my head haha. What you say is called "bus(s)es", right?
