Please Help - Product/Object counter

Hello all,

I am a new arduino learner and a php web developer, currently iam working on a small application for a textile company and the purpose is build an application that display product counter in a line of production. I want to use arduino ethernet shield with a switch and Distance Measuring Sensor GP2Y0A02YK0F (distance range 20 - 150 cm) so the arduino can detect and count product in a line of production, i have found ana amazing tutorial which does the same but it display the count on a LCD digital, my purpose if to count product and send data to mysql database so i can do the rest on php code. what i need to do is :

  • Connect arduino & ethernet shield to IR Sensor - Build Schematic

  • Get code for arduino to connect to my wamp

  • Once arduino is connected to my wamp i need the code for the sensor to be able to detect product and count them most likely in 5 cm distance

i was hoping if anyone can help please.

I may be understanding you wrong, but why do you want to use a distance sensor with minimum range of 20 cm to measure a distance of 1/4 that?

wamp, is that by chance the Windoze version of the popular LAMP server stack?
