Please read the pinned post re 'How to get the best from the forum'. You will learn about what the minimum info is like code and wiring diagrams.

What devices were last connected to the Arduino?
What code was last running?
If the code is still running and uses `Serial.print()`, check the Serial Monitor for output.

It looks like the Mega is sitting on pink anti-static material. Could this be causing electrical conductivity between different parts of the circuit board?

This Arduino MEGA was used with RAMPS 1.5
from a 3D printer.
I've been using this printer for over 3 years now, until it suddenly stopped.
I disconnected everything and ran a lot of tests:
I replaced the MEGA with another one, and the RAMPS works.
But when I connect the MEGA via USB to my PC, all the LEDs light up and it's not recognized by the PC, and the same thing happens with an external 12V power supply.
The AMS1117 is functional, and I haven't tested the CH340G.
the last Software used is MARLIN 2.1.2.1 which I have been using since 04/2024
I would like say that the 3D printer is a personal assembly (Homemade printer)

I, too, was raised and believed pink meant ESD, but it has now become just a coloring. The original shipping material must have "anti-stat" rating printed on its properties list, or it is just normal plastic. You can find this on wiki.

You could buy an ISP programmer, which gives full control over checking and resetting option fuses, reprogramming the board, etc.

This one is by far the best I've used: [Pololu USB AVR Programmer v2.1](https://www.pololu.com/product/3172)

Do you potentially have another arduino you could use to re-burn the bootloader as that will also clear the old code.
