The red line scenario would quite often indicate that you have not installed the client side software correctly or maybe are using a different browser to that you used during the install.
I would suggest you first read a few of the posts at the top of this section.
Then add any additional useful information.
If you dont have the icon in your taskbar then you wont be able to use create and it must be green (arduino colour) if it is grey it means there is an issue.
