@ciel: From your link, in the center of page:

gizDuino mini variant with USBaspLoader firmware and USB programming port to form a complete low cost Arduino compatible mini board! No need for a separate USB programmer. Choice of ATMEGA328 or ATMEGA168 controller. Please visit the official V-USB website: http://www.obdev.at/vusb/ Schematics and PCB layout will follow soon.

The "bad" part is that this device is not an Arduino... It uses the V-USB technology and NOT the USB-to-serial technologies used by real Arduinos- tech that is more stable and flexible.

When I Google the error message, the results suggests that this message may be caused by multiple issues: https://www.google.com/#q=avrdude:warning:cannot+set+sck+period.please+check+for+usbasp+firmware Without having that hardware on hand, it is going to be very difficult too assist you.

Suggestions . reboot, reinstall driver per instructions . check the manufacturer site, blogs, etc. For info . Google for your Gizduino + "avrdude" . try another USB port . try another PC . try a USB "powered hub" . wait until someone in the forum has a better idea... In the mean time, post your OS system, your PC model USB port type (1.1, 2, 3) as others will need this info.

Good luck

need to solve this error message for my project. :expressionless: XD

It might be obvious, but are you actually following the instructions of the "gizduino" when programming it? Like apparently setting a jumper and pressing the reset button?

Yes. i followed the instructions of the gizduino when programming it. my problem is when i upload it in the usbmini, the error message will pop up.

A) It is a WARNING (just as it says), not an error. A warning should not cause avrdude to stop the upload. B) Virtually ALL of the usbasp programmers from China show this warning. They still work as programmers (mine worked). Your device should also work. Have you tried just ignoring the warning? C) To eliminate the warning you would have to change the bootloader firmware in your device. There may not be an upgrade as controlling the sck period in a bootloader dosen't make much sense. Google for "usbasp bootloader" or "v-usb bootloader".

EDIT: Here are a couple of useful URL's. https://github.com/baerwolf/USBaspLoader http://www.obdev.at/products/vusb/usbasploader.html

@tf68

so its just a warning not an error message.i haven't tried it since its my first time to use this after i upload the codes , this warning message pop so i though that there is problem with the usb mini or with . :D

i will solder my sensor in usbmini later and ignore the warning . hope it works XD , I will post again after i try it. XD

Thanks a lot:)

Thanks a lot Guys!
