From your link, in the center of page:
gizDuino mini variant with USBaspLoader firmware and USB programming port to form a complete low cost Arduino compatible mini board! No need for a separate USB programmer. Choice of ATMEGA328 or ATMEGA168 controller.
Please visit the official V-USB website: http://www.obdev.at/vusb/
Schematics and PCB layout will follow soon.
The "bad" part is that this device is not an Arduino... It uses the V-USB technology and NOT the USB-to-serial technologies used by real Arduinos- tech that is more stable and flexible.
When I Google the error message, the results suggests that this message may be caused by multiple issues:
https://www.google.com/#q=avrdude:warning:cannot+set+sck+period.please+check+for+usbasp+firmware Without having that hardware on hand, it is going to be very difficult too assist you.
. reboot, reinstall driver per instructions
. check the manufacturer site, blogs, etc. For info
. Google for your Gizduino + "avrdude"
. try another USB port
. try another PC
. try a USB "powered hub"
. wait until someone in the forum has a better idea...
In the mean time, post your OS system, your PC model USB port type (1.1, 2, 3) as others will need this info.
