I have a project using ESP-07 with external antenna, where the ESP-07 has header pins that plugs into sockets on the main board.
Now I want to upgrade to ESP-07S. Soldering header pins to the ESP-07S half holes doesn't seem like the most durable solution, and soldering the ESP-07S to the main board is not an option. Are there any connectors or anything to accomplish a plugable ESP-07S? There's not much space available, so this has to be fairly compact.
Normally used for prototyping, not for "product manufacturing". For manufacturing I'd expect you to just solder it on the PCB - those modules handle reflow ovens just fine, and definitely far more reliable than a lot of modules hand soldered on breakout boards with hand soldered header pins. Way more compact to boot.
Alternatively 2mm pitch headers should do just fine... depending on your soldering skills, of course.
