I was looking up lipo battery chargers on ebay today, and I skipped past one ad, due to the title. Yes, the battery charger may sell very well, but if you advertise is as hot, and show it wrapped in plastic, I think I will just go on to the next seller. Hot is not a desirable quality in battery chargers
I am guessing that you don't work for Boeing.

What if it doubles as a footwarmer?
A hot battery charger sounds useful if you find yourself needing to charge hot batteries with regularity. Not sure that's an advisable course of action for most folks, but I suppose it has its applications...
If it purposely heats itself up to warm the battery for better charging at cold temperature, I'd say its useful.

That's MN for you.....

In those climes it used to be required to either take the battery in at night or have a battery warmer and car heater head bolt that get plugged in out in the garage.
I worked with a guy from Northern Canada. He said he had a VW that he took the battery in when he got the car home. In the morning he propped an electric hotplate under the oil pan then went in and got breakfast. Out goes the battery, in goes the plate and driving along bump bump bump go the wheels until the tires soften up.
When I lived in central Minnesota (Alexandria) in the 1970's, it was a common modification to have a battery/oil pan heater attached to the car, with a plug hanging out of the grill. Many of the parking lots had charging plugs in front of each car slot so you could hook up your car for the night.
Also, in the photography forums, it is a common recommendation that you keep extra camera batteries in an inside coat pocket to keep them warm until you need to use them.
Have you seen the big cap arrays being used as car batteries on Youtube? Easy to carry, lots of punch. One test left the unit in place for a week and still had 11V from 13. But that wasn't in winter. Still, a nice backup.
What if you buy one and it turns out it stays cold!
False advertising?
