I am having trouble setting up my Arduino. I am unable to get the port assignment right. When I go to Device Manager in Windows XP, the Arduino is listed under “Other Devices”, not under “Ports” like it's supposed to. The IDE shows COM1 but there is no connection. I had no trouble setting it up on my other computer which also has Windows XP. Can someone instruct me in this matter Thanks.
IIRC there is a difference between installing an UNO and a 328, that might be the problem. Check the details at - http://arduino.cc/en/Guide/Windows
