Portable version: "importing" all installed libraries / configs & boards by simply copying?

Hi everybody,

I'm still using Arduino-IDE 1.8.13 as a portable version.

I have some additional boards like ESPs, Seeeduino XIAO, Teensy installed.
I made adjustements like different scheme (a customised dark scheme)

If I want to upgrade to version 1.8.16 will simply copying subfolders to the path of the version 1.8.16 work?

If Yes: Which folders do I have to copy?

Yes.

  • <Arduino IDE installation folder>/portable
  • Sketchbook folder (location shown in the Arduino IDE at File > Preferences > Sketchbook location)
