How do you use the Portenta CAT.M1/NB IoT GNSS Shield with the MKR series boards.

The data sheet for the shield says it works but does not say how.

I was told by Arduino that it worked but "plugging it in to the header" but does not indicate what libraries to use, examples, how does it interface and so on.

Please post a link to the datasheet of the Portenta.
Everything works except for small children....
