Portenta H7: Red lipo-charging LED is not working

Hello,

there should be a red LED on the right side of the USB-C connector, indicating the charging of the lipo at the battery-connector. The battery management IC is a MC34PF1550A4EP and the datasheet shows a possibility to program the charging LED (via I2C).

By charging my lipos with the Portentas, the red LED is not indicating the charging... But i'm using lipos without a temperature sensor, which could cause this problem? Is there a solution (or an example via I2C), to turn on the LED in the charging state? Or even let the LED flash, if the voltage is below 3.5 volt (for example)?

Thanks,
Klaus
