Potentiometers suitable for RC radio?

Hi,

I'm making a simple RC radio. I had a few good ~70K pots and used them for knobs temporally, but they don't give the needed range, so I'll replace them. But the choice is quite diverse and I have no idea what fits what and it's not that they are so cheap to test every kind.

Maybe somebody could suggest what type/materials/price-range should I look for?
Being RC radio, obviously the pots should be physically durable and not deteriorate in smoothness across the range.

You should visit a professional component site (Digikey/Newark/Mouser) and study the datasheets for the potentiometers. They will list the rotational life as well as the part dimensions.

I thought there are some general purpose rules for choosing pot material.
Thanks, guess I'll do it like you suggested.
