Power 3v laser from Arduino Mega 3.3v output?

This is the laser,
I want to know can UI power it from the 3.3v output on the mega?

It says on the specs:
3V3. A 3.3 volt supply generated by the on-board FTDI chip.
Maximum current draw is 50 mA.

While on the laser spec it says:
Electric current: 250mA

so is the mA draw too much?

I am powering the mega with a 12v 1amp power cable.
