Can I use this 12V-20A DC output to run NEMA 17 stepper motor? I previously used a 12V-5A supply to run a single motor.
Now I have 3 motors. 2 will be run by A4988 and another will be TMC2208.
What are the motors' current and voltage ratings?
Are they all exactly the same as the one you used with the 5A supply?
Yes.
To be sure we need the electrical data of your steppers. But a NEMA 17 stepper ( NEMA 17 only tells about the mechanical dimensions ) rarely needs more than 20W. With 3 motors you will probably need a PSU with > 60W ( with some headroom ~100W). So 240W seems a little bit oversized
but is of course possible.
