Why does the Arduino Uno error when using an AC to DC power supply, the keypad moves by itself on the 16x2 LCD screen, but there is no problem using USB or using batteries. Has anyone experienced the same thing? Thank You!

My best guess would be ripple or noise on your external supply. Externally what voltage and where are you applying the power and from what supply. If your external AC/DC supply is dirty you can expect problems like you are experiencing. Have you tried more than one supply?
I have no idea what you mean with that? I have used 20x4 lcd screens and have no clue what a keypad are you referring to?
Lastly, try placing a 0.1 uF cap in parallel with a 1,000 uF cap across your external supply. The 0.1 cap should be a non polarized cap and the 1,000 uF rated for 25 VDC Electrolytic cap which is polarized. That may or may not help remove noise if noise is the problem and make sure your external supply can supply adequate current to your load.

no. me not.
Try powering the Uno with a 5volt cellphone charger, connected to the USB socket.
