Power Booster PCB

I try to make my own Power Booster to add to my PCB project
from lipo 3.7V 2000mhA battery to 5V

Adafruit PowerBoost 500 + Charger

But for some reason, it works fine in a week then the inductor is burned for no idea.
I replaced the inductor, then it works for couple day then burned again.
Sometime it burned even while I solder it to PCB.

I guess it maybe overheating.

DO you guys have any ideas what happened?

I check the pin 8 VBat short to GND when bad Inductor even without power supply.
That's really weird to me.

What inductors are you using?

The schematic specifically states 2A inductors.

From what you say I would guess that the ones you are using are not 2A inductors and the wire inside them is too thin for the current you are trying to draw.

But I think I use a max 3.6A already

The weirdest thing it's even not working when I dont power for the board. I check Vbat connect to Ground whenever I solder the inductor on board.

I think I figured it out. It's probably not because of Inductor but the Boost converter chip

I'm using TPS61090. Please check the TPS61090 block diagram.

Maybe I sometime programmed for the board using FTDI cable

and have 5V back to TPS61090 OUTPUT PIN when I'm not have battery.

That maybe make the SW pin connect to GND instead of VBAT.

Do you guys could help me how could I fix it or only replace the chip?

I will also add a switch when I program for the board, I will disconnect to the booster.
