Using a dual 14500 set to power a bluetooth 3.7 AND using a buck converter to supply 9v to an existing circuit and am getting clipping and no function to the 3.7v circuit when when both are connected but power to one or the other is off. What is the best way to isolate the two circuits, was thinking about a pair of Germanium diodes as the draw is minimal what is the best advice?
Apologies, I am using a Bluetooth module powered by the 14500 battery pack directly and piggybacking the buck upconverter directly to the bottom of the board to save space. I will post a simplified wiring diagram as soon as I have some time, I am at work now.
It seems from your unclear question that you might be trying to use a buck converter to boost battery voltage, which won’t work. For boosting, you’ll need either a SEPIC or boost converter. Be sure to label the voltages in your schematic to help clarify your question.
