power l298n h-bridge with power bank ...

hi

i have a project to build robot car ..

my componont is :
1- robot car with 4 DC gear motor
2- arduino
3- l298n bridge

i tried to power my bridge with 10000mah that have an output = 5v/2A connecter with 12v+ pin in the bridge but the problem is the H-bridge LED does not even work

i know that somebody will answer that i need 12v power supply to power the bridge

but im learning how to build robot car and the person who explain how to assemble the parts he also use 1000mah power bank and everything work fine with him

i asked him he said that he uses normal power bank

why its not working in my case ? is there anything i need to consider about it ?

Hi,
Welcome to the forum.

Can you tell us what model Arduino are you using?
Can you post a link to specs/data of the l298n bridge PCB, a picture of it would help too.

Can you please post a copy of your circuit, in CAD or a picture of a hand drawn circuit in jpg, png?

Thanks.. Tom..

The L298 chips waste about 4V, so that 5V Vcc is far from enough :frowning:

Use that L298 for what it does best (sit on display in a "historical parts" gallery, or be paperweight) and get a proper MOSFET based H-bridge such as the TB6612FNG.
