Power management using arduino and zigbee

I am going to propose a new idea based on arduino...guys pls help me out...

with Single arduino board can i manage Many devices like relay,temperature sensor,zigbee,power measurements and LED
is that possible one ? ? =(

Define "many", but yes it will be possible, even if an Arduino Mega isn't enough for you, you can increase the amount of IO by using shift registers and/or multiplexers

Here is an example breadboard for controling 16 LEDs with only 4 arduino IO pins and 2 shift registers (74HC595):

i am planing to design smart sockets whether it is possible with arduino?? my Main aim is that protect overload,neutral line fault,overheating protection so i am plan to use relay,temperature sensor,zigbee,and LEDs which are controlled by arduino

is that possible one ?? ]
