hello friends. I am an Electrical Engineer student.

I am New at this environment of programming and Arduino, But I have a project from college that I will really appreciate any help. I have to do a Power meter that can measure the power consumption of any device connected to our home outlets.

My approach is the following:

-I know that I need a current sensor for measuring the current, I am planning on use acs712 of 30 Amps

-I also know that the Arduino can only take analog voltage reading from 0 to 5 volts, so I'm planning on stepping down the voltage using voltage divider to a 1 volt peak to peak and then bias this signal so it lies between 0 and 5 volts.

- Also my professor told me that I have to measure the phase angle between the voltage and current since the formula for power is P= V I cos(angle between voltage and current)

I Hope someone can help me on this project. Thank You
