I would like to use my external power supply brick with my Uno. What size connector/adapter do I order that will fit the black power receptacle on the Uno?
From Arduino Uno Rev3 — Arduino Official Store
External (non-USB) power can come either from an AC-to-DC adapter (wall-wart) or battery. The adapter can be connected by plugging a 2.1mm center-positive plug into the board's power jack. Leads from a battery can be inserted in the GND and Vin pin headers of the POWER connector.
I’d met software people in the past that had no idea which end of a screwdriver to hold...now Insee where they come from!
5.5mm outer, 2.1mm inner, center positive.
Screwdriver as hammer, or as a screwdriver?
Screwdriver as hammer, or as a screwdriver?
My dad always referred to a hammer as an American screwdriver!
(Disclaimer... I spent my childhood in the US and CA)

Are you making fun of the OP?
For someone like me with poor eyesight that light grey on white background of the Documentation for the Arduino is very difficult to read. I don't understand why it can't be made black on white for easier reading!
.
Is that changeable under File:Preferences, or maybe manually in preferences.txt?
Make sure the PS plug is 5.5 X 2.1, a 5.5 X 2.5 will fit in the socket but will NOT make solid contact.

Not the IDE; the Arduino website. I don't recall it being like that before.
