Is there a way to enter a power saving sleep mode within a loop and still maintain the port output levels? I have a project where nothing needs to be updated for a number of seconds but the ports that control external devices need to have the required high or low maintained during the power saving period.
Sleep mode (at least on an AVR - atmega328p etc.) does not alter the state of output pins.
Here is an earlier discussion: Pin condition during sleep mode? - Microcontrollers - Arduino Forum
Thanks 6v6gt, (yes, I remember the days of amplifiers with push pull 6v6's with fond memories and the follow up later miniature valve, the 6aq5)
Your post clarified the situation for me.
