when trying to build a power supply for my DCF receiver i found it working on batteries only. after several experiments i found the following solution (see picture). the diode next to 7805 is protecting the voltage regulator to reverse voltages when the circuit is being taken off power.
everything is being now successfully supplied by a switching power supply.
the original circuit with one electrolyte capacitor on the left and 100nF ceramic on each side wasn't working.
-
are the diodes connected correctly?
-
do i have to add 100nF on the left side of the 7805?
