Power Supply Question...

If I wanted 5V to power my Lilypad and a vibro motor, what would you guys recommend? I know the vibro motors are rated for 3.3V but I'm not getting good results at 3V, and I only want it to vibrate for maybe .1-.2 seconds at a time. Will this be "bad" for the component? Also, if I wanted a very small power supply, what would you guys recommend? I'm currently using a CR2032 calculator battery which is PERFECT size, so anything around that scale would be appreciated. I'm considering a DC-DC converter that makes an AA battery juice at 5V but I suspect that this will quickly sap it. Is this my best option?

Thanks so much

No in fact the opposite it is good to underrate components in general.

These converters normally work at about 90% efficiency so they are a good thing. It depends on the actual current requirement of your project as to how long a battery will last.

Thanks Mike. I've ordered the DC-DC converter and will report back with my experience.
