I have a 24v brushless dc motor that peaks at 18.6 amps however I will not be drawing that many amps very often if ever and if I do it will only be for a very quick instance. I have a driver board with over current protection my question is what the power supply needs to be able to handle… I’m on a budget and I don’t know where to find a 110 to 24v 20 amp power supply… The ones I have found are pretty pricy just wondering if I really need a power supply capable of 20 amps or if I can get one with less that will in turn be cheaper. Once again I won’t be using anymore than around 10 amps maybe a little bit more on initial start up… Any help is appreciated thanks!!!
24V battery to take the peaks and a smaller supply to recharge it?
