I burned out my Arduino by not changing the jumper on the kit supplied power supply. I have purchased another Arduino. I plugged the power supply into a breadboard after changing the jumper. I checked the voltages with my multimeter and both sides read 8.8 vdc. I realize that this is unloaded, but is that acceptable. I really am hesitant to plug in the Arduino and use the common power rails that has the 8.8 vdc to feed the inputs on the Arduino.
