Power Surge caused all lights on Arduino Uno to remain on with power supplied

attached is an image of what happened to my board when I plugged it into a bread board for the first time that had 24v power going through it. There was a pop, a spark, and I immediately unplugged everything.

Afterwards, I plugged it into my computer via usb and all it would do was have the lights on, but not read anything from the software or run the motor when I plugged in the motor.

Any ideas how to fix it or if the board is fried?

Anyway, a pop will very likely mean that a component was destroyed. Maybe a capacitor, or other things too.

Did you mean that you applied 24 V DC to the arduino DC jack?
