Power to pin A0

i wonder if i can se voltage on a battery 1.2-1.5 volt direct to gnd and pin A0, and will it show the volt on battery or should i do something else?

I am thinking of making a batterycharger, very special.. i will show later?

Yes. The analog inputs can be connected to any voltage between 0V and 5V dc. They are high impedance inputs to they will not load down (pull down) the battery voltage.
