Powering a Leonardo

My goal is to power a Leonardo with a Itead 3G shield with a plug in wall transformer, for long time use, at a low price. I am using a Triad 7.5vdc 1a model WSU075-1000. With no load I measure 7.70vdc, plugged into Leonard with 3G shield I measure 7.67.
That seems good, but then I see this article about noise and voltage regulation and I get concerned about it. Or am I overthinking it and have to buy an expensive power transformer?

Thanks!

IMHO you are over thinking it and you DO NOT need to buy an expenssive ...

What is the most popular voltage, amperage, and type of wall power transformer to be used in Leonardos? I know the Leonardo's have a voltage regulator, but should I worry about noise coming from the type of power transformer I use?

The most popular is unfortunately what most people have in their junk box. Never optimal.

In stark contrast to scavenged junk box devices, your choice of a Triad 7.5vdc 1a model WSU075-1000 is as good a choice as you can make. Next topic please.
