Powering an Arduino MKR WAN using a MAX17048 battery monitor

I have purchased an external ‘fuel gauge’, the MAX17048 to check the state of charge of the battery. The wiring for this seems fairly straight forward, but I do have one question.

The power to the Arduino is supplied from the VIN pin on the MAX17048. To which pin on the Arduino do I connect the positive supply voltage.

I can’t decide between 5V, VIN or VCC.

Your help would be appreciated.

I have found the answer to this. I have connected the MAX17048 fuel gauge to the VIN pin. But the power to the Arduino is supplied by a JST-PH 2-pin Jumper Cable that connects the MAX17048 to the Arduino. The power for the fuel gauge is taken directly from the battery, so I am not sure of the role of the cable to the VIN pin on the Arduino. Here is an image of my circuit:

To power the board, a Li Po battery is connected to the other terminal on the fuel gauge.
